Points of Interest
El Jardín Botánico - botanical gardens - are very small and only require a couple of hours to walk around.
The Torres de Quart, old city gates, are on the border between this barrio and the city centre.
Shops and Facilities
This area has all the normal supermarkets, chemists etc that you might need plus the brand new, fully facilitated Abastos sports centre. The Nuevo Centro shopping centre complete with 2 Corte Inglés stores amongst most other high street shops is just over the old river bed.
Parks and Children
Kids will love the numerous domestic cats that live in the botanical gardens and are looked after by the nuns of the nearby convent. Apart from that, this area lies just south of a section of the Túria gardens with sports pitches and a trim trail for fitness fans. The Túria is also a nice place for bike-ride or a stroll.
